Climb and Raft

1 Day Climbing & Rappelling & 1 Day Rafting

Top 5 Reasons to Go

  • You’re not afraid of heights
  • It’s time to overcome your fear of heights
  • You want to prove to yourself (or to your kids) that you can do it
  • You’ve always wanted to rappel down a cliff face - and climb back up
  • Start small, next it may be Everest

Your morning is spent on a cliff face close to the Thompson River.

After thorough instructions and demonstrations, (you now recognize the name and function of each rappelling/climbing component), you learn to fit your harness and other equipment. Your climbing instructor checks to ensure you’ve done it right.

Working in pairs, you either let yourself down the cliff face or belay your partner over the edge. It’s quite thrilling – almost scary- especially the first few times. Soon you’re feeling quite comfortable with the whole thing.

Lunch is back in the Cutting Board Restaurant and after lunch, you’re taken to a new rock face for more rappelling and climbing. This one is high over Lytton and the view alone makes it worthwhile being there.

The next day enjoy a full day rafting on the Thompson River. On your way down, just above Lytton, don’t forget to point up to the left and tell everyone on your raft that you climbed that cliff face yesterday.
